Heterologous Insemination

Should it happen that in spite of all efforts of the reproductive medicine, especially after ICSI and TESE/MESA, the couple’s wish for a child will not have been fulfilled yet, the possibility exists to cause a pregnancy using donor sperm. For this purpose the PKS cooperates with several sperm banks and also offers own donor sperm. This kind of treatment is aligned with several forensic specific features and requires a thorough educational talk by the treating physician or biologist. Together with the couple we will select a donor who meets the medical, ethical and phenotypical aspects. The spermatozoa are thawed and prepared at the time of ovulation and are subsequently inseminated into the uterus.
